When the doctor doesn't listen

I've just been reading about the recent death of a 27 year old woman from ME.

It's quite long but what is making me so frustrated and angry is that it sounds like she might have lived had she been believed. This is fifteen years after the death of Sophia Mirza, an ME patient who deteriorated after being sectioned, and it just seems like nothing will ever change.

As my daughter died of ME, the state met in secret to blame me

This woman died in 2021, this sounds similar to what happened to Sophia Mirza in 2003 "Her mother and sister stated that Mirza's physical symptoms were treated as a mental condition rather than a physical illness, and her caregiver mother was accused of 'enabling' her."

Why does nothing change? In another 18 years will young women still be dying this way?

Maeve Boothby O’Neill’s mother had no idea she was being accused in private of causing or fabricating the illness that would take her life aged 27
