I snuck off today and left DH downstairs with the kids, locked the bathroom door, put on RHOSLC and had a bubble bath. I pretended not to hear the eldest ask if they could come in (there's 2 more toilets in the house).

I had a lazy afternoon nap instead of doing chores.

Told my dc and dp I was working late but really I had a mooch around a couple of shops in town for an hour where I bought myself a new top and a little lindt egg.

I took holiday from work because I have a migraine and I know I’ll be ill for a few days (No, there’s no meaningful sick pay so I use my holiday for this, but that’s another thread). I will also have time to focus on stage approx. 150 of an interview process I’m in and hopefully get a better job.

Ah the shopping sounds like heaven whilst I'm on maternity leave.

I don't blame you @DRS1970!

Good luck with the job @smooththecat Flowers

I'm sitting at the theatre now on my own as I wanted to see a show and my friends are busy and my family wouldnt be interested in it. I had pre theatre dinner just me and my book and am having a great evening.

Summer2424 · 03/02/2023 20:50

I shaved the hair under my armits, done my arms and legs too 😁
I have a 4 month old baby that keeps me very busy 👶

TheChosenTwo · 03/02/2023 20:52

What’s RHOSLOC?!
I had a facial one evening this week and then booked a half day today and went to the spa while it was still quiet. I told no one about this otherwise dh would have wanted to go out for lunch which is nice but I actually just needed some proper time out on my own and I wouldn’t have wanted him to feel offended even though he would know this week I did actually need it.

I sat and planned all my meals for next week and did an asda order (normally go to the shop) to make sure I don’t buy any crap as this week I have eaten so much rubbish. This is a gift for next week me!

this week: had a short nap, went for a run, had my hair done.

WinterFoxes · 03/02/2023 20:59

I sneaked off to a bootcamp even though I had family staying. Much as I love them, I really badly didn't want to miss my workout.

BHRK · 03/02/2023 21:04

i’ve ordered and tried on a lovely new dress. booked some nail appointments and arranged to see a friend at the weekend. The rest of the time will be spent being a parent/doing laundry

@TheChosenTwo Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. I've had some time cluster feeding on maternity leave and it's free l definitely helped me stay awake.

@2kidsintow I'd love to do that!

I'm here taking notes...

Thanks, never heard of it! Glad you’ve found something to keep yourself entertained during the cluster feeds - I remember those days, very time consuming 😃
