Is it dangerous?

The media seems to be over reacting to it?

The balloon itself is not dangerous.

It's a spying device that will be taking detailed photos - and that is clearly a security risk and possibly dangerous.

It's pretty inflammatory behaviour by the Chinese and that is possibly dangerous.

China is violating US air space

It's broken down !! Or off course, anyway. Ok, I don't know that for fact, but it's the only way I can interpret the Chinese "apology" about it. They didn't expect to get caught and it went off course or it would have been gone before Americans could get into a huff about it.

They are half-sincerely apologising for their inept spycraft.

It's a "weather balloon" 😂
