I have a quick question about moving a radiator. I've tried to discuss with DH but he has an annoying habit of poo pooing any of my DIY ideas so I wanted to understand whether this might be feasible before I suggest it (again).

I have a radiator along the wall in one of the bedrooms that I would like to change to be a slim upright one, rather than the traditional shape. It's not a large room and the set up of door / window and a chimney breast mean getting all the furniture in is proving difficult because we've effectively lost one wall to the radiator.

I think it would be possible to use one of the existing pipes / holes that are already in the floor.

So, is this doable, and is it a big job? I know carpet / flooring would need to come up. And i guess we'd be left with a hole or a capped off pipe from the old end of the radiator, but that wouldn't be a problem as would be hidden by the bed.
