Sunday started with a really sore throat and it's knocked me off my feet.
Today is the 4th day of actually blowing my nose every 1 minute
My chest is bad too
Did do a few covid home tests I had lying around and all negative so just a bad cold
I've honestly never had a cold this bad in ...well I can't even remember

Yes!! It started last Wednesday with a sore throat but feeling generally ok, by Sunday I couldn’t get out of bed. I’ve taken the whole week off work which is really unusual for me. It’s gone to my chest, I have a really stuffy nose, my neck and head aches and I have zero energy. My Covid test was also negative.

I had this before Christmas as did many of my friends, all negative for covid as a couple did test as had kits becuse of their jobs. It was the worst cold I have ever had and at no time did I have a fever.

Warspite · 03/02/2023 09:22

Mine started incubating on December 5th.
Finally “broke” over Christmas. I was so ill. All the usual cold symptoms and a throat from hell. Ruined our Christmas. Covid negative.

I recovered a bit after New Year but fell really ill again around January 3rd and have only really felt well for the last week or so.

My throat was like a million bits of glass & my glands were up like hens eggs and throbbing. Had to suck ice cubes & put ice packs on my neck. Still Covid negative.

I hope I’m out of the woods. I never want to go through such a prolonged back to back virus scenario ever again.
You are not alone OP. Get well soon.

Yes it's knocked both myself and DD out this week.

Have a bad one that lasted more than a month - cough-blocked/runny nose-then cough again. Never had such a long cold!

TherealmrsT · 03/02/2023 09:29

I had similar over Christmas, the cough is finally fading away.

winningeasy · 03/02/2023 09:46

Yep I have this. I think it's because of the covid jab. Lowers immunity

Evidence please? Peer review articles printed in respectable journals.

More likely people's immunity is lowered due to social distancing over the last winters.

Had it over Christmas and still haven't fully recovered, runny nose and head cold feeling on and off. I'm getting very cheesed off with it.
Definitely not from the covid jab as I only had the first 2
