restaurant with rooms recommendation? or maybe a hotel with ace food?

I'm after booking somewhere lovely for a celebration meal. Needs to be <3hours drive from Manchester. Also we will be going with the DC, so need a twin room available for them, although doesn't need to be adjoining. And one of the DC is a bit fussy, so no overly adventurous/tasting menu only places. Definitely want to be staying where we're eating though - so nice to roll from dinner table to bar and then stagger on to bed.

How much do you want to spend? And how foodie are your children?

The Pig (small chain) is amazing but maybe not close enough

Sorry just seen their tastes. The Hand and Flowers might be a good shout. Just about 3 hours away from you but very worth it! Plus it’s good pub food made fancy so should cater for your children.

Am prepared to look at £££ places - have been saving! Kids both into food, but one is a little too fussy for tasting menus or anything too Noma-esque.

food-wise both The Hand and Flowers and The Pig are just the sort of thing, but I can't be arsed driving that far for one night .

The Barn at Moor Hall looks amazing, but I think unfortunately just a little too challenging/unusual for one of the DC. It's a pain - she loves food, and would hate to miss out, but has a slight fear of anything too far removed from what she knows.

Thank me later - food is amazing (guy used to chef in the Savoy) and they will always sort something out for kids
