DD's school use various websites and apps for homework.
It doesn't really work for her to use my laptop because:
a) it's my work laptop with stuff on it that needs not to be meddled with and I like to leave files I'm working on open on the Desktop
b) I'd rather have what websites she can access absolutely locked down to the homework websites plus things like Newsround and iPlayer at this stage
c) laptop is from 2015 and although it can run everything I need ok some of these homework apps don't seem to be supported on my OS
Although I really don't like kids spending a lot of time looking at screens I feel as though it would be better to accept that the world is changing so I'm thinking of getting her a tablet.
Can anyone recommend a tablet that your kids use for homework? I've got as far as considering an Amazon fire for £99 or trying to get a reconditioned iPad (as everything in this house is Apple which might make things easier).
