Please help, does anyone know about licensing music??

I need to license a song to use in an online advert, and I CANNOT figure it out. PRS seemed like the obvious place to start, but even on there I can't work out what option I need to choose.

The song will be on a YouTube video and the 'online' licence on PRS says it doesn't cover YT use.

Does anyone have experience of this and could point me in the right direction? Please?

You will probably want to reach out to the label/musician for youtube. It will get flagged by YouTube copyright system and you can then submit the permission you got off the label.

Thanks. I can't even find out how to get a license from anywhere. It says it's under licence to Universal International but at a certain point I'm just clicking through the same pages without getting anywhere at all.

Universal have a page about licensing. I'd contact them via that! Good luck YT copyright system is always a frustrating clusterfuck.
