How long is pre-op assessment valid for?

I had a pre-op assessment this morning, does anyone know how long they’re valid for?

I’m on an NHS waiting list for surgery and was told the wait is up to 85 weeks.

Is there a chance I’m near the front of the queue or will I have to have numerous pre-op assessments?

In my local hospital its 4 weeks

I am under the impression it’s six weeks

They don't last long.

My son is on his third pre-op for a simple op he's been waiting for since January 2022. Still no operation date in sight. It's such a waste of everyone's time.

I had a pre-op in dec 21, surgery was oct 22.

Today 19 May ‘23 I’ve been told by nhs rules have changed from 3 months to 6 months
