What to bring back from Spain?

I'll admit, I do love holiday shopping threads about French supermarkets, etc and what to bring back when visiting different parts of the world.

Only my second time visiting Spain (1st time in 15 years!). What should I bring back from Spain?

Chorizo!!! Paprika dulce and the spicy version

Lime salt
Paella seasoning
Mainly chorizo though. Even the cheapest from the supermarkets/lidl is much more flavourful than anything here

Smoked paprika and saffron if you use it, cheaper than here.

Somewhat off the wall. Bin bags. For reasons I never quite understand, we cannot get bags to fit our perfectly normal kitchen bin here, but when we were in Menorca last year, we bought a roll of bin bags for the bin in the accommodation as none were provided.

We brought the rest home (waste not want not) and they are exactly right, a good thickness and weren't expensive, probably cheaper than they are here too. They've run out now and we're back to scouring supermarkets to find that bags that fit don't exist in the UK.

Green Lays if you like them. Onion and tomato flavour crisps, look like Walkers, but that's the branding over there. Maybe don't bring them back, but definitely buy them.

I got excited because there's a Turkish supermarket near us and they had about 3 different flavours of 'green Lays' from various European countries, but sadly none of them were the Spanish version.

But there's a wormhole for anyone looking to avoid doing something more important. Look up the different flavours of Lays crisps available in different countries. When we were in France last year, they had some that were cheese and gherkin flavour and they were lovely.

If you’re in the market for beauty, you can get tretinoin over the counter, I always bring several tubes back from Spain!

How much do you go through? It’s only 32p for 28 paracetamol and 39p for 28 ibuprofen in Tesco.

musicmum75 · 01/02/2023 15:55

Definitively green Lays. I think they are called Campesino?

Xoringer gin if it's still a thing. Not been to Spain for years
