Lots here today - going to change all the beds (3) plus a load of clothes, a load of delicates and finish off with the pets bedding.

I do between 1-3 most days. Rare I have a day without a wash on.
My most in a single day was six post holiday one summer

Working tomorrow plus it's going to be a wet day, so might only be able to do one and hang it on the pulley maid.

On average with bedding, towels and impact of a muddy dog, it's one a day, inching up as the teenager does cadets, gym and swimming
Household of 3
We did 10 loads after one holiday!

None, we do 2-3 a week, generally do them at the weekend as DH and I work FT and DD is at school so can't be bothered to add it to the already full weekday workload. If I get up early enough and it's a dry day though I will sometimes chuck a load in and get it on the line before work.

I do 1 to 3 a day too

waits for the shocked and disgusted ones

However with dh work stuff that can't go in with normal clothes is
1 load a day. 1 full set fills machine

Ds chef whites every other day, clean set a day

6 sets of bedding a week is 3 loads

Plus towels, school uniform, normal clothes, pre schooler who goes through many changes

Lately dressing gowns as all wearing them more, blankets on sofa etc etc

Im very fussy with mixing colors, i know some just chuck it in but im very particular.
Plus got a new machine and accidentally brought an 8kg not a 10kg dont ask me how and didnt realise until 3 weeks later!
We do wear things again that can be worn again but with kids that's rare.
Today alone 1 of the dc spilled cereal over pjs and dressing gown, a. Full set of school uniform, got changed after school for swimming, so swim stuff, then a set of beavers uniform and coat ( they had bonfire) which is why im up now waiting for the tumble to finish as needs coat in the morning. Oh and their pe kit was muddy from football. So 5 sets of stuff in one day as an example

Favouriteslippers- I’m fussy too, ruined a few too many clothes over the years by mixing.

We now are an all adult household, so laundry is way less. It used to be almost daily. (At night when possible, when the rates were cheaper) Now we have it down to one a couple of loads over the week-end. Bedding and towels usually one day and everything else another. But I remember how much there was back in the days of child rearing.

mondaytosunday · 01/02/2023 04:15

One I think. Just took a bunch of lights out of my teenage daughter's room (don't normally go in but she's pulling sn all nighter to meet a deadline at school). Not essential to do it today.
It's just me and her so only do about two or three loads a week.

Theoldwoman · 01/02/2023 05:57

Forgotten- we are an all adult household too, but the washing amount is not much less.

None ... adult only house but no pets. I would never choose to do all the bedding on one day .. and since he retired my DH does his own laundry, he would do mine but I prefer to do my own Grin.

Forgottenmypasswordagain · 01/02/2023 08:16

It is just one set of sheets so not too bad.

I hate changing beds so like to get it all out of the way on one day!

I never do more than one a day. How would I get it dry? I detest the feel of tumble dried clothes.
