What happened to the musical instruments thread???

I was enjoying that, seemed harmless, a bit of celebration of all things musical.

Then this morning PUFF!
Apparently it broke talk guidelines.

So what happened? Did it all kick off, did someone get offended at the number of instruments in people's houses? Did the OP declare a strange sexual fetish over ocarinas.

Please someone, tell me quickly before this thread is deleteed for being a TAAT.

Thanks

Was that the learning, or returning to instruments later in life, thread?

jays · 31/01/2023 13:03

I think probably someone told someone to stick their 70 million bassoons up their butt …. It did get a bit ‘ I have 17 grand pianos and an ‘ironic’ recorder’ …. I hated the thread personally but I don’t know why it disappeared!

Another seemingly innocuous
thread about things you wish your parents had bought you was also removed this morning. Not sure what's going on.

Interested in this thread?

Maybe its all written on code and totally over our heads 🤣🤣🤣

steppemum · 31/01/2023 13:10

the thread was - how many musical instruments in your house.

I thought it was harmless because I don't think it was anything like "I have a grand piano" (at least not lats night when I left it!)
But more like - dd plays in a brass band /I am a music teacher and then instruments.

For those of us who like instruments and music it was rather nice!

There are people here who could turn the most harmless thing into a pitch battle.

Sparklingbrook · 31/01/2023 13:36

It was a completely pointless thread, OP posted and disappeared without explaining what the unofficial survey was for then there were pages of numbers. Didn't realise it had gone though. Mine was 0.

EspeciallyDetermined · 31/01/2023 13:39

I wondered that. I posted that we had a few but all abandoned long ago but that's hardly comtroversial.

Needmorelego · 31/01/2023 14:07

There were a 'how many toys in your house' and 'what's in your home vs childhood home' threads deleted too. For "breaking guidelines" or whatever.
Most odd.

Sounds like it was a PBP or something.
