Can anyone give opinions on either of these parks please? 😊 How are the park facilities and are there any toddler friendly days out nearby that you can recommend?

We've been to Haggerston a few times and both my kids love it.
The park itself has a nice layout and nothing is too far away.
The usual activities offered by Haven are there plus there seems to be a few new developments coming.
The indoor complex was renovated in 2019 and is nice and bright.
You have your usual Papa John's, chip shop and Burger King plus the pub place, entertainment venue and a sports bar. They're opening a chopstix soon too.

On site there is a horse riding place (a separate entity to Haven) and an indoor minibeasts/creepy crawlies type place.
We love visiting the nearby beaches, Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle etc. There is also a small zoo nearby.

I've never been to Seaton Sands so can't comment.

@PixieAndProsecco Sounds ideal!! Thank you 😊

I had seen lots of “coming soon” but we’re planning a few days away very early in their opening season so I doubt it’ll be ready 😊 just wanted to check there was plenty going on nearby too 😊

For days out at Seton Sands there is Edinburgh Zoo, North Berwick has a lovely beach. Lots of places out and about to go to.
Archerfield walled Garden is lovely to go to for a mooch and lunch it has an enclosed playground attached to the restaurant.
There is lots of things near or in Edinburgh to go to with young children.
The camp has all the usual things on for kids.
we have been several times and we now just use it as a base as we are not taking grandkids with us anymore.

Blimey, Haggerston Castle is a blast from the past! 30 mumble mumble years ago since we went, mostly good fun, apart from our parents spending every waking moment complaining about how expensive it was!

@Kitkatandcoffee Thank you 😊

@SinnerBoy 🤣🤣 i only ever went on one holiday when I was growing up - it was to a caravan park with my parents and siblings, and my only memory is my parents complaining about prices the whole time 😅

I've not been to either for a few years but Haggerston is a much much larger park, Seton Sands is smaller.
Haggerston has loads on it and everything is spaced out (or I was not sure if that has changed though), Seton sands everything is in the one area and is directly across the (very busy) road from the beach, Haggerston you would need to drive to the beach
