Selling on Vinted - funds withheld, asking for ID

My funds have been withheld on Vinted and I've been told I can only withdraw my earnings if photo ID is uploaded. What happens if you don't have a passport or drivers licence - does anyone have a workaround for this? Whole idea of sending your photo ID online seems very dodgy IMO!

This will be basic money laundering checks. Ask vinted what to do.

So I have money I've saved in my vinted account and I asked to withdraw it..they won't let me without drivers licence or passport...I don't have either..so now they won't let me have it..told me I have to have 1 or other...I'm in a wheelchair at the moment after an accident so can't ever drive and won't be going on a plane now I don't think..so what do I do even though I've messaged them and they adamant its 1 or the other.

Use your voter ID from the election...

Did u manage to get your money.. I've got 900 in mine and because I've not got a drivers licence or passport I can't have my money. I'm worried sick 😫

Ask them if you can use your voter ID from the election.

Ebay manages to pay people without needing it. Disabled people don't always have photo ID, not even voter ID.

A provisional driving license costs £34. Buy one and claim your £900 even if you never sit in the driver's seat.

Can you apply for a provisional licence? I don't know how much they cost but it must be a small part of £900.

No they won't let me. Has to be 1 or other gonna get a provisional license.. but I don't know where birth certificate is..lost it when we moved house so have to buy 1 of them again I think then apply for provisional

So I lost my birth certificate when moving home so I'll have to get another one of them and then get a provisional x

If there's no other way for you to get the money out, can you arrange with a friend for them to list something for the full amount and you use your vinted money to 'buy' it. Then friend used their ID to take the money out and gives it to you.

Is it only over a certain amount that Vinted requires photo ID? A thread on here alerted me to this a few months ago and I immediately went to check my balance. It was below £300 and I I was able to have it sent to my bank account with no issues. Since then, I withdraw as soon as there is any balance, to prevent it building up,

I am another who doesn't have a driving licence or passport. I wasn't asked to provide them when joining Vinted, so it seems rather off that they are requesting it when you want to withdraw your money. They didn't require photo ID when linking your bank account to your VInted account - so why, if they withdrawn amount is heading to the linked bank acount, are you required to provide photo ID?

If they requested photo ID on joining, I could understand it. But they let you join without it, let you link a bank account without it, will happily take money from said back account for purchases, but then demand photo ID if you want to withdraw the money you've earned? It's so wrong.
