Selfies and photos

Whenever I do a selfie or pose to get my photo taken, I turn into Chandler off Friends.
I am just not good at taking them and I think surely I don't look like that.
I ask my family and they all say that I don't and look better in real life which I think is correct.
My daughter can take an awesome selfie and same with my husband but I just look weird.
This happen to anyone else?

This is literally my life. I hate having pictures taken of me. Some pictures look alright. My biggest issue is my nose! I know it's larger than average but no so large as the pic shows (I hope not anyways)!! I've been told I look better in real life. Hard to believe but I think it's honestly the way the light and angles affect the camera picture. 2d images can be so distorted. It's so frustrating!!! Being photogenic would be lovely but at least you are told you don't look like your pictures.
