Daguerreotype portraits with some historical background

Evening wise Mumsnet,

Have come into possession of two portraits, one of a husband and one of his wife.

They have a Potteries connection in Staffordshire being Dudson family members, also running one of the Potteries factories.

From what I have found so far from writings on the back. The two early photographs are of James Dudson (1812-1882) and his wife Jane Dudson.

From the internet all I could find was that James Dudson was the son of Thomas Dudson. And Grandson to the founder of the Dudson company Richard Dudson.

James also ran the second factory on Hope Street, Hanley, after his father Thomas passed away.

Just wondering if anyone had any information? Whether it was possible to reach out to the family ect.

Will try to upload pictures.
