How easy would the Attic24 Coast Blanket be for a beginner crocheter?

I have taught myself to do amigurami. Are the blankets easy to pick up?

Piece of piss to pick up. You'll be away in no time.

How long did it take you? Did you buy the pack from the Wool Warehouse?

The pattern for that blanket is a basic repeat across the width, so once you've mastered the little pattern, it's just that, over & over again & changing colours at the end of the row. I don't buy kits I choose my own colours from all over the place. But if you like that colour selection, go for it. You'll build up speed once you get going and are familiar with it. Something like that though is a project I'll pick up and put down because I always have multiple things on the go.

Lucy designs some lovely things.

If you can do arigurumi you'll be fine!

I bought one of the kits for another blanket and had quite a bit of yarn leftover so that’s something to bear in mind if you are looking at costs. It might work out cheaper to buy as you go. That might have been the particular pattern that bought though.

It was the Harmony one. I made btw. Some shades are used more than others but the one you like might be designed equally.

I’ve done the granny stripe and currently doing a ripple. I could only do a treble when I started!

The only thing I'd say if going from amigurumi to a blanket is being aware of your tension and you'll probably want to swatch to check your sizing.

I've got an attic24 blanket on the go but I'm doing the coast colourway with the woodland ripple.

The Attic 24 ripple was my first proper crochet project after learning granny squares. I made a lot of little sample ripples to get the hang of it with crap yarn before committing. The key is good counting, but also knowing where to place your first and last stitches and Lucy has great pics to help.

Great thank you!
