Best / strongest smelling candle or diffuser?

Bing4859 · 30/01/2023 11:44

Any recommendations for strong smelling candles or diffusers? Ideally nice looking / luxurious ones. I usually use Molton Brown diffusers which are really good and long lasting but they’ve recently reduced the amount of fragrances. I also like the Diptique candles but they’re far too expensive for anything other than a very luxury burn for a couple of hours! Any recommendations welcome, thank you!

I picked up a large (3 wick) lavender candle for about £13 from Waitrose this week that is actually quite nice. The brand is AromaWorks. Even when it's not lit it releases quite a noticeable (nice) smell

Bath and Bodyworks really strong which is great, but hard to find fragrances that aren’t very synthetic smelling. Neom also lovely!

I love Valente, not too expensive but really nice without being over powering
People I have recommended them too have loved them as well

Neom candle someone bought me for Christmas. Have to blow it out after an hour as its overpowering!

sandranista · 30/01/2023 18:23

Woodwick candles are the strongest I've ever had.

Sparkletastic · 30/01/2023 18:28

Another vote for Valentte. The Neroli and Lemon candle is gorgeous.

I bought some diffusers from Floral street recently. Even DH commented that the scent was noticeable when you walked past the door of the rooms they were in.

Bing4859 · 30/01/2023 18:59

@karmakameleon Ooh - what scents did you buy?

This is my favourite diffuser, they last 6 months.

fatsinglereadytomingle · 30/01/2023 19:13

Soul candles are brilliant.
They're the only diffusers I use/buy for gifts

BigFloppa · 30/01/2023 19:14

Murmur ones are amazing

Findyourneutralspace · 30/01/2023 19:15

For anyone on a budget, the Aldi Jo Malone dupes are brilliant! I love no 1.

tootrueblue · 30/01/2023 19:28

The White Company - so far I've had the Winter candle and Spring and Oakmoss diffusers and all are lovely and throw a strong scent. Packaging is lovely too.

Clawdy · 30/01/2023 19:44

Yankee candles are nice, especially Pumpkin And Tonka Bean.

@karmakameleon Ooh - what scents did you buy?

Just some random ones to try. Think the two I’ve opened so far are sunflower pop and santal and both wonderful.

Michaela101 · 02/12/2024 20:59

I love Florence and Bee candles, they're local to me in Buckinghamshire. I was an avid Joe Malone fan but then came across these at a market for a fraction of the price of JM. They're now my go to!

baddecisionsmakegreatcompany · 02/12/2024 21:05

I second Aldi - the candles are brilliant - burn really well and fragrance is noticeable but not overpowering

Dreamtheimpossibledream · 02/12/2024 21:09

Definitely Neom, they are expensive but they are the only candies I have used that really release a proper scent that stays. I am less enamored with the diffuser.

Wimbledonmum1985 · 02/12/2024 21:19

Aery - best I’ve tried. Last forever.

HelenSpaint · 13/12/2024 22:15

They are way to strong for me really horrible

HelenSpaint · 13/12/2024 22:17

The NeOm ones smell horrible really don’t like them
