DH birthday present

I literally have no idea what to get DH for his birthday at the end of the week.
He is fussy about clothes and needs to choose those and other than seeing his mates in the pub he doesn’t really have many hobbies. He is just about to take on an allotment so that might be a possible thought but still not sure what.
He will be 53 if that is relevant.

What about a membership to something like the RHS? As he's getting an allotment? Good quality garden wear? A bit funky perhaps?

If he does, how about one of these for his allotment with some chilli seeds / plants? Birds Eye, ghost chilli ect?

If he doesn't already have loads of garden tools you could get him a Wolf Garten tool set - essentially handles with lots of clip in head options. We have an allotment and I'd highly recommend the soil miller, push-pull hoe is great too. Also some bits from Real Seeds if he's at all interested in less usual and non-GM plant varieties.

if he's getting an allotment, get him a Hori Hori knife. I was in a similar boat to you last year and asked about birthday presents on an allotment FB group, and easily 90% of the responses were to tell me this. I was slightly dubious, but DH loves it and it is so useful.
