I just don't fit in anywhere

I try my best to be friendly, approachable etc but all through my life any group or community I've tried to become part of, I just end up feeling left out and on the edge. It seems pathetic at my age but I'm feeling low and beginning to just think I'm an unlikeable person.

I'm 63 and have felt like that all my life. I'm sociable, and worked in the care sector for 20-odd years (so can get on with people). You aren't unlikeable, you're perhaps an introvert, like me (although strangely, some people think I'm confident, outgoing). Mix with other people who are the same as you. Find activities you like.

Same here luckily as I’ve got older it’s got easer for me I’ve got friends but no longer care that I don’t fit in.

I'd began to care less but it's been getting to me again recently

I'm extrovert in some ways but yes I have introverted moments

It's just a feeling .. I bet it's not reality and that you are well liked! I would try CBT

I have ADHD

As soon as I read this, I wonder if ADHD or some other similar factor was involved. I have been diagnosed with it recently and I understand. It has meant a lot of realisations about how I relate (or not) with other people.
