Is he becoming more serious?

Hi so I met this guy over a year ago and from time to time we meet up. We have a very strong connection and great chemistry and if I’m honestly I’m head over heels for him but we have never been anything serious but a couple of weeks ago he spent the night for the first time usually he would come over and go again but he decided to stay this time then he asked me over to his mums house were his family was, I’d never been to his house before so I was a bit surprised.

Am I maybe being silly in thinking he might want to start being more serious with me? I don’t want to overthink things or get excited and end up hurt

It definitely sounds like he's wanting to take the relationship to the next level.
I think it's looking very positive Smile

I think that asking you to meet his mum would generally suggest he’s seeing this as more than just a casual thing. It’s probably best just to have a conversation to see where you both stand currently and where you see things going. It’s been over a year so it’s not unreasonable to have that conversation with him and it helps to know whether you’re both on the same page.

So have you actually been on a date or are you just having sex?

Does he live with his mum?

Kiki29 · 29/01/2023 00:09

Yes he does

Why don't you ask him?

allthemissingfucks · 29/01/2023 00:16

It could be that he just wants to start having sex with you round his mums house - so he needs to introduce you as 'the girlfriend'.

Sorry I'm so cynical! I hope it's more than that for your sake.

To be honest I don’t want him to think I’m pushing him or anything

You can’t have a serious conversation after a year?

How long are you prepared to hang around waiting for someone else to tell you where you stand? What do you want?

It’s been a year. It’s ok to have a conversation. Honestly, that isn’t pushing. Would you think he was pushing you if he asked where things were going/where you currently stood?

DuplicateUserName · 29/01/2023 00:31

I agree you need to have the conversation.

It's been a year and you describe yourself as 'head over heels', so you might as well find out how he sees the relationship (if indeed there is one).
