Feeling stuck since breakup and life passing me by - suggestions to improve my life?

I'm 48. My 5 year relationship ended in mid 2021 and it's taken me a long time to get over things after being very hurt. I'm over the heartbreak now, but feel my life is stagnant. Although I have one outdoors hobby, which I really enjoy, I feel I'm wasting a lot of free time doing nothing. I enjoy my job.

I doubt I'll ever have another relationship, and do have a good circle of friends but they're often busy with their own lives.

Since breakup, I feel like I've lost my zest for things - eg I used to love reading but can't concentrate on this now at all.

Any suggestions welcome!

If you're into the outdoors, why not take on another hobby?

Hi. I hear you. I understand what you are feeling. My partner left after 10 years. It took me a long time to come to terms with the heartbreak (and betrayal in my case) and after that came the tricky task of rebuilding and rediscovering myself.
Finding a tribe of people to lift you up and encourage you is so important, you mentioned you enjoy the outdoors, maybe seek out a local walking group to join? I highly recommend journaling as a way to practice mindfulness and maybe rediscover long forgotten pastimes you enjoy. Online communities can be rewarding and easily accessible for support, to share ideas, and to just chat.
I also find creating a vision board can help hash out our interests and dreams to motivate us and move us forward.
