I'm about to buy dd a Switch for her birthday. Can anyone tell me how I can tell whether a game has a physical cartridge or a code in the box? I'm looking at Minecraft on Very and their bundle with console and Mario. None of the descriptions state of it is a cartridge or code.
Thanks

I would presume looking at the offer you will be getting the cartridge in the box for both games

You usually only get a code as a digital download they don't come with boxes.

Ive bought two games recently from argos. They were both boxes that had a code in them and nothing else. It was described as such on the argos website. The switch itself came with a game in the bundle that had a cartridge.

Thank you- that's very helpful
So if it's a code only, it should be clear on the box?
Many thanks

The box will say cartridge or code somewhere on it. Usually on the back.

Just had a look on very. I think they come with the game cartridges, but I wouldn't swear on it!

When we bought DS’ switch, it came with Mario Kart Deluxe on n the form of a code, so it’s downloaded to the device. Subsequent games we have purchased have been physical cartridges.

I believe our Mario kart came as a cartridge

Some have codes and some have cartridges to put in. It just depends on the game I think.
