Has anyone experienced this and how did you get through it?

Depends what you mean by allergic reaction and what part of your body is affected. Rash, breathing problems, swelling ? Is it a reaction to the products you wear?

Fascinating
Allergic to the hormones? The blood? To period products?

I’ve heard of PH which is where you react to your own progesterone and ultimately you need you ovaries removing. It was in take-a-break or something similar and sounder horrendous for the poor woman. Never come across it in real life.

Are you sure it’s not the sanitary protection that’s the cause of the reaction? Various pads (Always springs to mind) are stuffed with some godawful scent that I wouldn’t allow in my downstairs loo air freshener never mind my underwear. Even the reusable period pants may have dyes and fabrics that are sensitising to some people (I have a friend who is allergic to something called PCP, a chemical used in dark hair dyes and cheap fabrics/reconstituted leather).

Rash n swelling. This is only the second month in a row it’s happened. It’s not the product’s because it starts when premenstrual

hey op, did you figure out how to treat it?

No, I’ve gone on the mini pill though so haven’t been having periods, which has been great!
