Where has it come from?

Had my routine smear test and I've had a letter back saying I've tested positive for HPV, so follow up needed. I've then looked up HPV to find out what it's all about, to discover it's an STD!

I've been married for over 10 years. My partner works from home, as do I, he never goes out without me or the kids. We both tend to use each other's phone depending on whose is nearest at the time, so there's no secrecy there. Basically he has no opportunity to go out and sleep with anyone and I have no suspicions there whatsoever. I also have not slept with anyone else.

So where the fuck has it come from?

I think you can get a positive HPV test from anyone you've previously slept with and it doesn't always show. It doesn't necessarily mean your DH has cheated.

It can lie dormant for many years so it could have been picked up any time from any sexual partner.
