Does anyone want to do frugal February with me?

I’m living on my credit card. I pay it off on payday normally. Didn’t quite make it in December so had to pay interest 😱I want to start living within my means more/ build a little pot of cash for when things go wrong.

Generally I run up a £1k a month cc bill which sounds like a lot. It includes everything that’s not a Dd though petrol £240 a month. Food shop circa £500 a month kids activities but not swimming as that’s a Dd. Any coffees out/ clothes / birthday presents/ school dinners for eldest, younger ones are free.

I'll join. Pregnant with surprise baby 3 and desperately trying to save what i can so I can afford a house and baby stuff and mat leave 😅 I've managed to get our food shop down to about £60 a week for 2 adults and 2 kids plus a 3rd adult who eats with us half the week 😀 xx

I'll join! Just finished no spend January. Trying to just do £10 a day for food, petrol, sundries. Worked well in Jan and am quite motivated now!

I'm on the 10 a day thread and despite beginning we'll initially I make no where near 10 a day. More like 10/20 a month any tips @bewilderedhedgehog? Xx

Hi - are you trying to limit spending to £10 a day or earn an extra £10 a day? I am doing the first. Jan went v well. Feb not so good so far, but am trying to get back on track! Things that have worked really well - Too Good To Go for food, food delivery freebies eg greenchef which someone told me about - first box free, much better use of my freezer, and really cutting down on petrol for a bit (although that is harder long term as there are things I need to do!).
