'Cheap' size 18-20 thermals; from where?

Fordian · 27/01/2023 16:01

I'm bloody cold and not enjoying having to wear 4 layers to stay warm enough. I think I need some thermals.

Can anyone recommend a brand? Do Primarni do them? Esp 18/20 size?

Any other ideas?

Tia.

Primark definitely sell thermals. Can’t remember how the sizing is but they were decent enough for dog walking, keeping cosy under a jumper at home on cold days.

M&S do good thermals - their leggings are £12.50 and fab.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 27/01/2023 16:02

I'm 20/22 and the men's xxl thermal long sleeve T-shirts from primark are great £5 each, lovely and soft inner lining and a little loose which I like.

Best thermals I’ve tried are M&S - they might not fill the cheap criteria as they’re more expensive than primark but having had both (also size 20) the primark ones didn’t compare on heat!

in terms of recent reviews, I believe M&S and Uniqlo were up there in terms of thermals.

You could try Shein, although you will have to wait around 2 weeks for delivery.

Sainsburys TU

Iwantcollarbones · 27/01/2023 17:55

I came on to say Sainsbury’s too. They do a nice range, very well priced and are almost like a second skin.

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/01/2023 18:01

Decathlon do merano wool ones up to a 24 or 26

gogohmm · 27/01/2023 18:09

Mine are mountain warehouse. They are 14-16 but I think they do a larger size

LockingJay · 27/01/2023 18:14

I came in to say Sainsburys TU - I have them and they are super soft and warm.

LolaSmiles · 27/01/2023 18:16

Tesco, Sainsbury's and M&S do them. They go up an 18, but I'm not sure about a 20.

Datafan55 · 27/01/2023 18:17

I've got many from Matalan in the past.

Decafflatteplease · 27/01/2023 18:20

I'm an 18-20 and love m and s ones as mentioned up thread

TheFormidableMrsC · 27/01/2023 18:22

Primark definitely do plus sizes for undies and thermals.

JuvenileEmu · 27/01/2023 18:30

Mountain warehouse do really good thermal base layers and they're pretty cheap.

SunshineLoving · 27/01/2023 18:32

I have a thermal long sleeve top from M&S in a nice glitter black fabric. Got it in the sale a few years ago and it definitely does the job.

M&S might be more expensive but if you can stretch to it, I'd definitely recommend it.

BoringLittleMe · 27/01/2023 18:33

I'm size 16 and got some cheap but effective ones from Decathlon.

ExplodingCarrots · 27/01/2023 18:39

I've always got mine from mountain warehouse . Always during sales when they're very cheap.

newtb · 27/01/2023 18:53

Décathlon ski trousers, you can wear them under either leggings or jeans.

Thatnameistaken · 27/01/2023 19:14

Lidl have thermal tops and leggings in at the moment £5.99
I've got myself a couple of pairs of the leggings and they're great.

Butteredtoast55 · 27/01/2023 20:09

Sainsbury's again. My size is similar to yours and the 18 is a lovely comfortable fit.

Fordian · 27/01/2023 23:23

Thank you everyone!
