I'd go for Four Seasons/Little Four Seasons (if you want Cantonese) or Dumpling Legend.

If you want Sichuan, I'd go for Jinli on Leicester square.

And for hotpot, try Little Lamb on Shaftesbury Ave or Shu Xiangge on Gerrard St.

It's char Sui pork we are after. I saw that at four season's their specialist area is roast meats but again the reviews are awful!

Old town 97, wardour street.

We were there in sep last year and it was delish.

We had dinner for 3 (inc boneless roast duck) at Four Seasons just before Christmas. Tasty but expensive - £70.

We used to like Joy King Lau, but the one meal we ate there, since their management change last summer, was not good.

I went to Imperial China last week, with a couple of friends. On the basis that we'd always had good meals there before. It wasn't great, to be honest. It was OK - but only OK.

Could have been our menu choices, but I think we'd have been better going elsewhere.

@BIWI ..it used to be very good I'm gutted by the review and 97 also looks unpealing now.
