Anyone here work in the passport office? Would this man have difficulty in getting a passport? (poss scary pics)

I just read this story in the Daily Fail about a French man called Loffredo. He aspires to look like a black alien and has had extreme body modification including nose tip removal/upper lip reduction/finger removal etc, plus loads more. The ethics of all this aside, someone mentioned in the comments under the article 'good luck getting a passport'. So it got me thinking. Would he have trouble getting a passport? Would there be identity issues boarding a plane? I'm curious.

No idea about the answer to your question @PeachDelany but I’m not sure how I would feel if I got on a plane and he was in the next seat 😅 which is awful to say, I know! Thats quite an extreme look isn’t it?! 😳 it always baffles me that there are surgeons etc out there who are willing to put their name to work like that!

Dear oh dear. I think you just wanted to post his picture.

Anyway, to answer your question, it would be as okay for him as it would anyone else including those people with a facial disfigurement who want to travel - they are allowed, you know.

Like everyone else he would need to look straight ahead into the camera and not smile with his teeth showing. His teeth look lovely but they don't like smiling the Passport Office.

Re-read my OP @limitedperiodonly there's nothing dismissive about it.

Having read the other comments, I guess he'd be fine to obtain a passport as long as he keeps updating the photo for each major facial change.

Won’t be actual trained surgeons doing it. It is like extreme piercings and tattoos, they find other “enthusiasts” willing to do it for them. Which is why they have made such a shit job of that wonky upper lip.

I have met this guy. He used to live near us in Barcelona. He's not scary. He is unusual of course but he is peaceful and polite.
Of course he can have a passport.

In terms of getting a passport I doubt that it would be any more difficult than it would be for me, except that they may request someone to verify who he is because, let's face it, it is a very extreme look.

I think it may be hard . He has obviously gone to extreme measures to hide his identity so what is he hiding from .
I think he has mental health issues but the passport office will know about those having surgery to change their look so would they think this is another form of that .
I think they may do more background checks .

Because you'd think that we'd be past the point of posting pictures of a particular person and then asking people to speculate on something pertaining to their appearance, but apparently we're not and it's tiresome.

He must have a passport as he recently went to Mexico for body modification surgery that they won't do in Europe (two fingers removed).

As someone has said, he has a passport already as he's in Mexico (not sure where he's moved from, but he's not Mexican). I think he's very odd and needs some sort of therapy, tbh. He's had two healthy fingers removed from one hand to look more 'alien', plus loads of body modification like implants under his skin, that's he's had removed and replaced. Apparently he's been saying he's going to have something done to his penis (apparently he wants two of them) and his legs amputated.
