Am I being awkward

So my kids are meant to be staying at their nanas over night on Saturday with their 2 cousins. I spoke to SIL earlier who said her DS had been throwing up in the night. Apparently her DS has stopped being sick now so he can still go. I told DP I’m having second thoughts about sending them as I don’t want them to potentially catch the stomach bug. It’s defiantly a bug as SIL said there’s one going around his class. He said I’m being awkward and pathetic and that by Saturday enough time will have passed and the bug won’t be contagious. I have had 2 stomach bugs in the past 6 months, both caught off DS. The first one, I started being sick 3 days after DS and the latest one started 5 days after so I know the 48 hour rule isn’t always concrete. I will add that I am emetephobic so I don’t know if I am over reacting.

You are absolutely not over reacting . It's just not worth the risk

A sleepover in these circumstances wouldn't bother me.

Though actually it should be your sil not sending HER children. Especially if your nan is elderly. How selfish of her to still send them

She should be ducking out, not you. We’re just coming out the other side of this, 5 loads of laundry and ruined upholstery later, we’re still off proper food. No fucking way would I risk this and I’m still plotting the demise of the twat who gave it to us.

Your husband is a twat.
