I'm looking for a rocking chair

Hello I am looking for a relaxing chair/rocking chair. Does anyone have the IKEA Poang chair? I am considering that chair or budget chair from amazon.

I'm looking for a chair to relax in. Lately over the past few weeks I am getting tired more easily and I am taking to the couch for a nap instead of going to bed. Basically I need a chair to relax in for taking a nap when I need it or for when I don't feel well, I can sit and relax in a chair. I have some underlining conditions and sometimes I need to take some time out. I like to watch movies from time to time. I also like to read and knit too. These are my hobbies.

I have an ordinary leather armchair but lately I am feeling like I need something to sink and relax into. The armchair isn't doing it for me.

These are some budge chairs I am looking at. Can anyone help guide me in the right direction. Thanks.

I got a baby nursing chair from John Lewis and he was 3 when I got it!

The grey movlan one won't be any good to you: the back is low so you won't be able to lie back and nap.

The cream one looks nice.

If you have pets or small children youll need to be careful they dont get squashed under the rockers.

We've got a "normal" poang and a rocking version - I'm 5'4" and find the normal version much more comfortable and easier to bounce to get that rhythmic relaxing motion than I do the rocking version.

I am sitting in my rocking Poang right now. I love it. I have to say I don't really rock in it often but I like the way it moves when I move and it can be snoozed in.

My DF, who has back and mobility problems, always sits in it when he comes to mine.

I found two more other budget rocking chairs.

I wonder which ones of these would be the most suitable for relaxing in?

I like the cream one here because it's tall but the grey one here also looks good. It's tall than the other chair above.

I am having trouble deciding.

When I was looking for a nursing chair I thought I wanted the Poang rocking chair. When I actually tried it in store the normal Poang was far more comfy so that's the one I ended up with.

If you want to nap, you need to be able to rest your head so of the second two the cream one looks possible.

I narrowed my search down to two chairs and I am having trouble deciding between the two chairs. Here is my selection of chairs.

There's a cream coloured chair and there's a chair with dark brown cushions.

I like the cream coloured chair however I am slightly apprehensive for some reason. Maybe the arm rests look a little low.

The chair with the brown cushions, I like that and the price is very good but I am afraid maybe it might not be as comfortable.

Can anyone help me pick please?

I have an old Parker Knoll rocking chair which I had french polished and recovered. As you mentioned the armrests on the cream chair.... the armrests on my PK chair are flat and smooth and I like resting my arms on it. I wonder if the armrests on the cream chair might not be so comfortable? They don't look very wide.

I got a beautiful white wooden rocking chair from Facebook marketplace for £30. Well worth a look on there!
