Anyone else ever failed at changing a nappy...

Tell me I'm not the only one to take off a baby's wet nappy and then forget to put a new one on and not notice til they've wet themselves?! Luckily none got on the carpet.

In my defence I was distracted by DD1 who has diarrhea and has already got poo on her pyjamas...🙈

Not surprised you forgot a nappy, glad it was only a bit of wee. Sometimes we take multitasking to the limit.

I once popped into see my mum when DS was a baby. For some unknown reason I hadn't brought spare nappies with me.

My mother managed to fashion a temporary nappy out of a Muslim and some cling film. It did the job, but I wouldn't do it again!

She must have done a fab job of creating a nappy out of a Muslim! 😂

Yes it happens, I’ve also put nappies in the washing machine. If you’ve done this before you know what an utter disaster it is!

Oh blimey. I changed the autocorrect and it changed back. The shame Blush

In the real world my mother is a proof reader. She would bear more of a grudge for the typo than the poor care of her grand baby.

Fashioning a nappy from a Muslim and some cling film sounds like quite the episode of Blue Peter 😂

My dd was a few months old and had a stomach bug. As I was changing her. Her brother aged 2 wanted to help and grabbed the shitty nappy as I was putting it down. It made a big arch of shit over the wall. I put her on a changing mat as I cleaned it up. Only to realise I'd forgotten to put a fresh one on. She'd rolled over off the mat and onto the carpet covered in shit. I could have cried. I do laugh now 8 years later 🤣

My 2yo once took off his nappy without me realising and I continued to put his pj bottoms on. I did wonder why he was holding a clean nappy in his hand but didn't click. He woke up crying a little while later, wet and I realised I'd put him to bed with no nappy on 😂

My brother baby sat for me once when dd was about 6 months old and managed to put a nappy on backwards which I thought was quite skilful as the Velcro was underneath her.

Oh yes, similar has totally happened to me. I’ve also managed to put it on a skew wiff or the wrong way round and the wee has gone everywhere. When you’re knackered and/or distracted it’s easy for these things to happen.
