My DH turns 40 in the summer and I really want to get him a big gift (and will need to start saving now!).
We are doing a trip to London with a show for his birthday so it’s a gift I’m looking for rather than an experience. He is a brilliant husband and dad and has done so well for himself and his family, is so supportive and tries so hard despite his barriers (he has undiagnosed ADHD) and I really want to treat him.
I’m wondering about an iPad possibly? It’s not the kind of thing he would buy himself given the cost . We both had iPad minis 10 years ago but they’re useless now. Is it worth having one when you have a phone, though? I can’t imagine I would use one much myself.
He is big into running but already has loads of gear, good trainers, an Apple Watch (isn’t interested in a Garmin, I’ve floated that). So I can’t think of anything else to get him there.
I’ve also gotten him golf lessons in the past as a gift. He already has a good set of clubs. He doesn’t get much opportunity to play because we are so busy with our DC so I know a club membership wouldn’t be ideal now (maybe for his 50th when our small Dac are teens!).
He does like trainers and designers like Ralph Lauren so again could treat him to a few things that he wouldn’t splash out on for himself.
But ideally I’d love to buy him one “big” present. Hence thinking about the iPad.
