It just bloody won't go away. I was ill in December. I don't feel ill anymore but am getting fed up of this cough which is just hanging on and on.

Yes I’ve had it for six weeks solid now. It seemed to be getting better last week for a couple of days and then came back with a vengeance! The coughing is so violent and can pan for 15 mins. I just want a good nights sleep!

Gone now, had it for about 3 weeks though. Annoying

IHateFlies · 25/01/2023 00:18

Sympathies @MrsR87 I've had it for the same amount of time.
I've been doing everything I can - taking vitamin c, vitamin d, zinc, magnesium, drinking turmeric tea, and any other random remedies people are passing on.
I've had a course of antibiotics.
It just needs to get lost now.

Does it feel like your chest is tight or your lungs are itching? You might need a check ip to make sure you haven't ended up with asthma and need some steroids to clear it

Gosh, I hope not but no, nothing like that. I feel totally normal except for this annoying cough.

Glad to hear others are better, but blood in your phlegm sounds horrible @Toomanybirthdays

I have it, it's making me miserable :(

Ilovetocrochet · 25/01/2023 00:38

Yup, still sound like a seal after four weeks! I’m getting fed up of trying to sleep propped up on pillows but still waking up three or four times a night coughing.

But I think it is slowly getting better, I’m not coughing quite as much during the day as long as I sip water almost non stop!

Roll on the summer!

Thanks! Yes similar here! Never had turmeric tea Before but I really like it!

I somehow managed to get a doctors appointment earlier this week as they were concerned how long I’d had it and how night my blood pressure was following a recovery from pregnancy induced hypertension. They don’t think it’s bacterial so no antibiotics. They think I’ve got two viral infections T the same time. They prescribed an inhaler to use in my coughing fits but so far it hasn’t done anything!
