hi
Anyone managed to knock their sale price down this January ? supposedly 50% off cabinets etc but OMG 30k ! and I'm still having to source a range cooker and double ceramic sink myself. Husband thought/hoped it would come in under 20K (not me)
I am going back to haggle, just interested in others experiences.

DIY is so much cheaper and yet they don't have shops like magnate etc but they still need t make a profit

DIY kitchens were fantastic for us.

Yes went with Magnet as I liked the first one I saw in the showroom, after the first price given £30k went dashing off to Wicks, they has a similar green but not as deep, their guy told me he could not save me much on the Magnet price anyway., and I did not like any of the Wicks counter-top options. Im not buying appliances through them. I've bought my own sinks and range cooker, but buying their taps.
I saved a good bit by trimming the height of the splash- back either side of the cooker, this then bought the cost down to within husbands acceptable range!
scrutinise the quote, I kept finding things i did not ask for, bits that were discussed, then I thought taken off, but were still lurking on the quote.
The offered inducements like a new dishwasher or Quooker tap, if you don't want them, get the price taken off.
Haggle Haggle haggle, in fact go above the first salesman and speak to the manager for more discount....

We got a quote from Magnet in their alleged sale. We ended up going with DIY for a better quality kitchen (solid wood as opposed to MDF), which came in at 60% of the Magnet quote.

I’d strongly advise looking at the Facebook page for DIY Kitchens and enquiring with one of their designers (Karen, whose details will be in the post at the top, is amazing). You could basically get someone to design it for you, and then source a fitter, for much less than the Magnet quote and they also do bespoke colours.
