Hello all

I was wondering if any of you live with or know a man with BPD?

I'm wondering if my DP has it. He has a lot of the traits.

I'm looking for advice and tips on how to handle his moodswings and his chronic feelings of wanting to die and the horrible stuff he says.
I'm struggling to know where I stand with him on a daily basis.

For what it's worth I have BPD too but I am aware it shows differently in men and I don't know any male with this diagnosis to gain perspective.

You say you also have BPD. I have recently sort of been told I have it. A psychiatric evaluation said I do. I had never even heard of it. I meet with them for a while but they don't think I am 'bad' enough for a year long course or something with the consultant. Places are very limited.

I'm in my early 30s. I abused alcohol for a few years and went to AA which I think has inadvertently treated my BPD because when I read about BPD I was the poster girl for it in my 20s.

Do you have any useful site I could read up on? I don't go to AA anymore also don't drink. That is not a good thing for me! But I need to do something to kee me on an even keel .
