Idiot husband threw away silver spoons, recycling got emptied yesterday, this was part of a set, so angry!!!
Kill him or divorce him??

Anyone ever retrieved anything if I go there today?

Yes. My FIL found some important paperwork. Took ages though.

Was it in your wheelie bin or did he take it to the tip?

You might be in luck. Contact your council. Ours takes recycling back to a central site tips it, then it's loaded into Artic lorries and taken off for processing at recycling centres. If it's still at the yard you've got a chance.

I would say take gloves. A lot of people don't clean their recycling and also put inappropriate items in the recycling. There's a major rat problem and the smell is horrendous.

To be honest I wouldn't personally be willing to look through that pile of trash for silver spoons but maybe they are worth more to you. Good luck!

They're spoons. Just get different spoons and continue about your life.
