Londoners- need to buy a gift around TCR station

Been a terrible friend and haven’t organised a gift for a friend’s birthday. We are meeting for lunch tomorrow and I have some time to run in for a click and collect or mooch around and buy a gift, but I’m tied to location.

Where, within 10 mins of Tottenham Court Road would you suggest that someone went to purchase a present? It’s a big birthday so I wanted to get something to keep- a lovely photo frame for her new home, or a pair of silver earrings, or a nice travel jewellery bag.

I moved out during covid (and I lived east anyway) so no idea what is around there now.

Something from Heals?

AnchovyInCowlNeck · 23/01/2023 18:13

Is there still a Muji?

Is there still a Muji?

There was in September!

TellMeWhere · 23/01/2023 18:16

Selfridges?

PuppaDontPreach · 23/01/2023 18:16

Heals

What’s your budget? You have a huge range nearby including Oliver Bonas, a massive Next, TK Maxx, M&S etc. if you want higher end you could make it to Liberty or the big John Lewis if you’re a fairly quick walker.

JamieFraserskneewarmer · 23/01/2023 18:17

Liberty 's is about 10 minutes walk from Tottenham Court Tube - or head for Bond Street, Selfridges, John Lewis etc

KillingMeDeftly · 23/01/2023 18:17

Muji? There's also a TK Maxx with a large homewares section so you might find a nice frame there. Or Foyles for a book?

Shamoo · 23/01/2023 18:17

Liberty!

TheFlis12345 · 23/01/2023 18:17

Yes, it’s still there.

Suprima · 23/01/2023 21:18

Thanks all. Should have said a 5 min walk really. I really want to stay close to the station as possible, lunch is in Covent Garden so the tk maxx is probably a good shout for a photo frame.

I have a gift bag and card at the ready.

Definitely Heal’s.

PinkArt · 23/01/2023 21:41

Seven Dials is only a couple of mins from that YK Maxx, and you're basically in Covent Garden then. Loads of nice little shops there.

Comefromaway · 23/01/2023 21:46

Olivia Burton in Covent Garden?

Comefromaway · 23/01/2023 21:46

Or Moleskin

HundredMilesAnHour · 23/01/2023 21:56

Alex Monroe has a new flagship branch on Floral St if you want to buy silver earrings still (better than a photo frame surely?)
