Passport turn around

Has anyone applied for a passport recently and how long were turn around times?! Typically I sent mine off last week along with my marriage certificate for a name change and have just got a new job today where I require my passport and marriage certificate for a DBS check so panicking slightly. Thank you

I had one recently and it was very quick. It took a week from applying to receiving it.

My renewal was very fast. I think about ten days from the Passport Office receiving the old one. Not sure if that’s fast enough for you with a new job though?

5 days and old passport returned today 17 days later.

Applied about 2 weeks ago, sent the documents last Sunday (as husband needed to get his photo verified). Recieved last Friday. So 5 days. A renewal.

Husband however was in the same envelope - but has not got it yet. But probably because he didn't have his passport number so its was almost like a first adult passport.

I applied last Tuesday (straightforward renewal) and had a text on Friday to say it had been posted to me, not received it yet though.
