I’ve been with my partner 7 years he been quite controlling and abusive but for some reason I still go back he moved out the home but still together I got back in-touch with a old work friend who moved to wales and have been chatting to him I feel bad I know I’m doing wrong but in the mean time my relationship has gotten bad

Regardless of the new man you're texting, you need to end things permanently with your partner if he is controlling ands abusive.

I’ve tried so many times I don’t know what’s wrong with me I think I’m messaging him for some comfort for the way I’ve been treated

You need to tell him (your partner, not the friend you are texting) it's over and then cut all contact with him. If he begins to harass or threaten you, contact the police.

Just tell him and then block him. Get some counselling.

You are going to end up in hot water with the controlling partner when he finds out and I bet he will find out.

You need to sort yourself out and then work on your self esteem.

You appear to think that being with a man is the only way to be happy.

You need to be happy in yourself before you can have a healthy relationship.

The man you are texting is no better than the man you are with as he is happily texting a woman with a partner.

You deserve better than the pair of them.
