No heating for 9 days

So I've now had no heating for 9 days, I eventually managed to report online on Monday, have rang agents 16 times and left messages, nothing, actually spoke to my landlords company last Monday who said I had to go through agent. My son went to agents yesterday (who said now up to different agents and gave us email address) Emailed him who responded immediately and said forwarded urgently and gave me phone number. Again no one answered or called me back. Eventually got hold of someone at letting agency today, my landlord has agreed to send someone out on Tuesday, tbf to her she was embarrassed and said she would have liked to send someone today but would be silly money and landlord would not agree. I have family member who is gas engineer and has told me the problem which I told letting agency and they asked if he would fix it! (Part needed £50ish) so I said no. I am so fucking cold (and have been for days) I work from home but know I can do nothing as queues of people waiting to rent. I always pay my rent 2 weeks early (when I get paid) and am so pissed off that I am so powerless! Just wanted to rant!!

I understand why you are so pissed off but if you have a re2altive who can fix it for £50 then I would have gotten it fixed and then argued over the cost. I wouldnt be freezing for nearly 2 weeks. Oh and I'd pay my rent on the day its due from now on!

In possession of an email asking for me to get it fixed it would have been fixed a couple of hours later.

Before I read that I was going to suggest you bought a fan heater as an emergency measure and knocked the cost off your rent. It's unreasonable to be left without heating in these temperatures when there are alternatives.

As a landlady I would be mortified and not leave you that long without heat I would have dropped off heaters and a deduction in a rent to cover the heater usage.

Family member lent me a fan heater but totally open plan downstairs so makes no difference at all. I am just sad that I pay a lot of money that I can barely afford and get treated this way.

Can you go and work in your nearest Costa or equivalent?
