Socks. I’m in search of socks.

Not too thick. Not too thin. Thermal would be a bonus but not vital. I’m particularly keen to find some that don’t end up sliding down over your heel and collecting under your foot, meaning that they come off with your boot when you have to sit on a bench and rearrange them while unruly dogs gambol at your feet and tie you up with their leads.

So I suppose I need a high Lycra content?

Anyway. Walkers. Hit me with your sock recommendations please!

Was going to say the same about mens! I read this tip and bought some from M&S and they are really thick and warm!

Yes I agree mens socks are where it’s at. MUCH better quality and more than just pink or floral 😂

Brasher, Bridgedale. Also the Heat Holder socks have been great (and very warm!). These all last me for years. My SIL and DB bought me some thermal socks from M&S for Xmas and so far, they’ve been fab.

I always buy Falke socks from John Lewis - I think they’re German. I have soft, slippy, silky ones for the summer and the warmest, comfiest, wool ones for the winter. They’re not cheap but they are the best.
