Is vacuuming such a big ask??

I did think about posting this in AIBU but wasn't brave enough.

So, all I've asked is for him to vacuum the lounge. Got him all geared up, lifted things out of the way to make it easier so a clear run you would think.

No. No, it is not. The drama is constant!

Whining about wires, the doormat (which apparently is my fault for not moving), getting stuck on the rug. The sulky banging against the skirting boards... its endless.

I've not even tried the mop function yet.

I thought robot vacuums were supposed to be time saving and effortless 😬

LTB, OP! Grin
Somewhere out there will be a much more efficient robot vacuum cleaner than the one you currently have.

You got me! 🤣

What make is he? I don't get these problems with my EUFY 30C (AKA Bernard 🙃) Yes I have to move wires out of the way and make sure the hearth rug is moved away from the hearth (he seems to get stuck there) but apart from that he bumbles around quite happily doing his thing!

My Neato is great, does the whole of the downstairs whilst I walk the dog. I only move the lamp from the side table because of the wire. It manages rugs, doormats, hard floors, carpets and the wooden thresholds without a problem.

Oh OP don't google the robo-vac that drove through the dog poo

cosmiccosmos · 21/01/2023 20:16

Yep OP there's your answer - divorce your DH and marry a robovac!

And people say technology improves your life. Sounds quickest and less stressful to run an upright around 😂
