Do you have small children? If so try toybox, playhouse, little tykes cosy coupe or similar if you have one in case child wants real keys. Cat litter.

if not, behind radiator, under front door mat…. Good luck.

Sprogonthetyne · 21/01/2023 11:59

You through them onto the window sill nearest the door, but they missed and slipped off without you noticing and fell down the back of the radiator underneath. 2 years after you pay for new keys to be made, you will take the radiator down to decorate and find them.

SauteBaconHollow · 21/01/2023 12:00

When you find them @fblake, get yourself a Tile or Airtag to go on them as a keyring so you'll never lose them again.

AlwaysCountYourPennies · 21/01/2023 12:03

I once found mine in a shoe, must have dropped them when putting them on the table.

I found mines underneath my gloves in the kitchen yesterday.

Bettyboop3 · 21/01/2023 12:20

Last time i lost mine i'd thrown them in the cupboard with the dog lead.

Norma27 · 21/01/2023 12:27

I put my car key in the kitchen bin once. Then threw the spare one in there too! Luckily found them both eventually!

Whatevergetsyouthroughthenight · 21/01/2023 12:30

Do they have your house key on them? Are they in the lock on the outside of your front door?

midsomermurderess · 21/01/2023 12:32

According to Rory Stewart (former Conservative MP, inter alia) if you’ve lost something, it’s almost always where you thought it was. In other words - look again more carefully where you first looked. When he tweeted that, it almost broke Twitter.

Surely2023IsTheYearForMyRainbowBaby · 21/01/2023 12:42

Still in the car?

frazzled22 · 21/01/2023 12:44

In the outside of the door?

fblake · 21/01/2023 13:38

@midsomermurderess - can you believe they were where i first thought they were, as you recommended, i looked again harder and voila! THANK YOU!
