What are your favourite types of thread?

Just curious and may collect some new 'favourites'!

I love 'What is your worst' ones. Like worst wedding, worst dining out experience, worst visitor etc etc. I don't know why, I just find them fascinating.

Ditto 'weirdest' ones. Anything that'll attract lots of comments about individual's experiences really.

I also love AMAs about most things.

I like the "what are you up to today" and what's going on in your house right now" threads, purely because I'm nosey 😂

Patienceisntvirtuous · 20/01/2023 15:49

Ah I never look at those! I might do now. I like the experiences ones-just had a quick search and rather than just 'worst' things like 'what has happened to you that never thought would' and things like that. So interesting! I guess that comes under nosiness too.

Gütermann, there's not a job it won't do.

sittingonacornflake · 20/01/2023 15:55

@CrackersCheeseAndWinePlease oh me too! I know they all quite samey but I do enjoy hearing about the normal family life of other homes.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 20/01/2023 15:56

I'm fond of a woo thread. But only during daylight hours. I don't need to read about your 'elderly Victorian lady seen standing in the corner of your bedroom' anecdote as I'm about to go to bed.

I don't care for parking threads.

subtoprem · 20/01/2023 15:57

I like random cheeky fucker threads and the "what's for dinner" ones especially if a recipe is linked.

Ha ha me too! Love a spooky thread but only in daylight Grin

EmmaEmerald · 20/01/2023 15:58

I love love love a woo thread! Proper woo, no fake woo! I don't mind if there's a good solution, like the poster who turned out to have a rabbit in the house, IIRC.

I also love stuff like the "box" thread today.

ShinyPikachu · 20/01/2023 16:20

Parking threads (especially live ones) and any CF thread are my favourites.

I also like to follow relationship ones where they've realised their husband is awful and they're planning on leaving. It makes me so happy for the OP when they're free. They remind me of when I finally saw through my ex and got rid of him, I'd had years of emotional and financial abuse by that time and it was one of the hardest but best things I've ever done and my life is so much better now.

Patienceisntvirtuous · 20/01/2023 16:22

I also love CF threads!

I'm now reminded of a 'cringworthyness of ex partners' one that I am going to try to find. Perhaps we need a new one of those too!

I forgot one. The what is this movie/song/actor type ones. I actually found the right answer to one of them once which made my day as I'm normally useless at them. Grin

Favourite threads…

CFs, women actually leaving abusive partners, getting free, breathing freedom air… I did… no feeling like it.
hand holders… like supporting somebody fearing miscarriage or bad diagnosis with happy endings… love them!

funny threads… brings out the earthy and the witty mns for shits and giggles

lucysmam · 20/06/2023 19:49

Nosey ones and "what's for dinner?" type ones for me.

Also woo, but only in daylight - some of them are properly creepy!

Aquamarine1029 · 20/06/2023 19:51

I love the worst first date threads and the help me name my business threads.

MissBridgetJones · 20/06/2023 19:52

Parking ones. With diagrams.Smile

LunaNorth · 20/06/2023 19:55

I like the ‘expectation vs reality’ style and beauty threads. Some of the descriptions people give of themselves are so funny and relatable.

I also like ‘cringey ex’ ones.

PollyCreo · 20/06/2023 20:43

I secretly love the Sunday morning 'Hubby went to the pub yesterday and hasn't come home yet' threads. I lie in bed and watch them unfold 😧

Disclaimer - this happened to me once and it wasn't funny...
