Glendower / Falkner House / Francis Holland SS

Just wondering if anyone had any particular insight on Falkner House, Glendower and Francis Holland SS - in particular, the relative merits / demerits of these three schools? Currently in the middle of the 4+ process with my daughter, and would be grateful for any first hand experience of / insights into them. What kind of girl would thrive / not thrive in each of them, and what kind of families do they attract (we are a professional rather than super rich family)? Very many thanks in advance.

Enormous thanks to everyone who has responded to my message and contributed to this thread. I have found the comments enormously helpful.
Ultimately, we have decided on Falkner House and are very happy with this decision. Thank you to @Walvis01 for your very full summary of your experience, which put many of my concerns in picking this school to rest.
And good look everyone who is still making their decision!

Hi mums, we have been fortunate enough to receive an offer from Falkner house for our DD today and got a really good vibe from visiting during the open day and speaking with the headmistresses. Can I please ask now your girls have entered the school, how are you finding it? We are also from a dual working family, rather than a wealthy family so would like some insight if the wealth element comes into play.
Our DD also got a spot at Glendower prep which I felt was more “wealthy”. Thank you

Congratulations!! Your daughter has done really well
Both FH and Glendower have very very wealthy families and dual income “normal” families. You can’t know what mix will exist in the upcoming year group in each school. I know some very wealthy families at Falkner. We are in Glendower and in our year group majority of parents are very “normal”, 70% are dual income families and there are quite a few families where both parents work and there is no nanny (as we have an amazing wrap around).
Our daughter is very happy at glendower and so are we but I am sure Falkner is equally amazing and your daughter would be happy in both.

Thanks for your reply, yes you are right in that we won’t know until the year group is formed. I have to say the glendower wraparound care is rather amazing!

sorry just realised the previous post didn’t tag the other mums with daughters at FH @Insearchofadvice@Hockeyjockey@lovevegs would be grateful if you can let me know how your DD is getting on at FH? Also do you know if most siblings will get in at FH?

Thanks!

My daughter is at Falkner as well. I echo the above. Most importantly my daughter absolutely loves it there, couldn’t be happier. Plenty of dual working households (including us)

Thanks so much for both your responses! It’s so great to hear you both love the school and having a good time.. We really loved the school when we visited and got a very good warm feeling. We will probably accept FH and feel lucky that we have a choice between multiple schools.

I'm curious to know which school you ultimately chose for your daughter please and what you think
Of the school . My daughter will be having her assessments in January for Glendower, Francis Holland and Falkner house and I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the school you selected. Congratulations on your daughter's achievement!
