I feel like people on Mumsnet always mention doing a hobby and I don't have one!

What are all these hobbies that people are doing? Enlighten me please I'd like a hobby!

Reading, reading, reading. I really love reading😊

Also preserving- I tried waterbath canning this autumn and loved it. Managed to preserve more or less a whole (small) orchard of apples in various ways. Deeply satisfying.

Next project is making a quilt. I did a basic sewing course this winter and managed to make a wearable skirt!

I love hobbies. Especially ones that orbit around my kitchen/living room.

Don't think of them as a hobbies, but I enjoy countryside walks, my fitness class, online tai chi, occasional jigsaw and I've constantly got a book next to me or in my bag.

I own a horse which takes a fair bit of my free time. I’m addicted to crosswords and I have keen interest in history.

Learning different languages (a slow but continual process dabbling in Russian, Polish, Greek, Arabic, Japanese, German and Spanish), dressmaking, building furniture (lots of patience and tutorial watching), mosaic tile crafting, embroidery, doing puzzles of any kind such as jigsaws, crosswords and sodoku.
I have little time so when I get to do something on the above list it's great. I get the DCs involved too.
