Toothache since last thursday which steadily got worse. The tooth is heavily filled and sadly on its last legs. I managed to get an emergency appointment with my dentist who said it's infected. Started me on antibiotics and said the pain should improve over the next 24 hours or so. Still extremely painful despite 3 days of treatment, also swigging salt water and using clove oil plus alternate regular brufen/ zapain. Just wondered how long in reality people saw an improvement in
symptoms ? I actually feel like getting the tooth removed privately if the dentist prescribes yet another course of antibiotics (which is what he said he'd do if no improvement). There's so little of the tooth left that he was doubtful he could even do a root canal procedure.
