Paint by numbers without the numbers?

i've heard of it before and seen it before but i can't remember what it's actually called, it's for my mum she likes the colouring in aspect with the paint but feels the numbers 'limit her creativity' plus she sometimes can see the number through the paint and that bothers her, maybe it doesn't exist and i'm making it up 😂

Like an adult colouring book?

There are lots of canvases similar to this in Hobbycraft. Just search ‘colour in canvas’. Lots more here.

Adult colouring books. This is a page from one of the books I have. Might not be what you’re mum wants though but they also do some none sweary ones 😂

I get Them on Amazon just search colouring for adults and loads show up.
One thing I love about the Bridget colouring collection is they are single pages.

I'm not sure a colouring book will take paint without becoming lumpy.
You can still get tracing paper, she can trace a picture onto her painting book.

Depends on the paper quality of paint can be used or not.

If descriptions/reviews don’t mention if pain is used there are also water colour painting books.

thanks for recommendations of the adult colouring books however they don't hold paint very well 😂
