I feel there's been a sinister campaign by government and/or the media to portray Rishi as a tall man.

There's lots of reasons not to vote for Rishi, his height isn't one of them.

I will never understand why it’s even a topic of conversation. Nor why being tall would be better. Neither do I understand why female politicians are judged on their clothing.

Taxes and riches are other topics, but height and clothes. How shallow people are.

I think it's partly that he invests quite a bit in his suits and shoes, which makes a big difference, plus he has cultivated a general demeanour and presence that draws away from his height. So really it's Rishi who is the expert in making himself appear taller, rather than some weird conspiracy theory. Much better than all those power poses they were into a few years ago!

Have you never seen him in photos with other politicians? He usually comes up approximately the same height as the women and significantly smaller than the other men. And If you've only seen photos of him alone, what are you mentally measuring him against?

I agree with PP that there's a lot to judge him negatively for, but I couldn't care less what natural size or shape his body happens to be.

In fact, there could also be a whiff of racism when people focus on and criticise him for his height, as people who are Asian/have Asian heritage do tend to be a bit shorter than people with white European heritage, on average.
